Solar energy is far from a new concept. Ancient civilizations recognized that the sun was a huge source of power. While today we’re still developing a consumer based source of financially friendly solar power and improving on that all of the time, it still remains the least expensive form of energy that has ever existed. Sungate Energy Solutions wants to help as many people as possible live off of the energy of the sun.
Sungate Energy Solutions finds that while the technology of using photovoltaic panels are being used to capture the energy of the sun today, the basic concept of capturing the sun’s power is still the same as it was for Native Americans as well as it was for the Ancient Greeks and Romans. Native Americans and Ancient Greeks built their homes into the sides of hills so they could store the sunlight from the day time to be used at night when it was cold.
The Romans actually knew that the sun produced enough energy to be able to heat their homes with the sun shining through glass windows. They built the first greenhouses out of glass and used the energy of the sun to grow plants for food during the winter season and then produce seeds from these plants for the spring planting.

Doing it right with the greatest rewards is the goal of Sungate Energy Solutions. Many have complained about solar installation costs of panels on rooftops as a deterrent to the advance of solar power. The challenge has been whether or not the installation of solar panels is really a do it yourself kind of project.
The continued marketing of the simplicity of do it yourself installation of solar power may not be as feasible for the average homeowner, but an experienced roofer might be able to complete these energy saving, renewable solar power panels. The question would be whether or not the roofer has had any experience in solar panel installation in the past and if he is licensed to guarantee his work in something other than roofing.
There is something quite valuable to consider when it comes to the professional installation of solar panels rather than the alternative do it yourself panel installation projects. For instance, Sungate Energy Solutions offers a twenty five year warranty. Considering the safety of this warranty from a company that has spent over three decades improving and working for the advancement of solar energy as an alternative to fossil fuel and a clean energy alternative, a warranty is a great safety net.

Florida State University has a team that has researched an alternative to current solar energy systems. The goal of this team of researchers was to harness solar energy with less time exposure to sunlight using cheaper fabrication than glass, mirrors, and photovoltaic cells. They were also looking for a system that was lighter in weight than the current systems available.
There are many alternatives to current systems available and Sungate Energy Solutions is always interested in what is going to be available in the future of solar energy. Sungate Energy Solutions has spent over three decades helping American families rid themselves of the dependency of fossil fuels for the health of the people and the health of the earth. Renewable energy and research regarding the numerous sources that are being researched and developed today are the answer to a cleaner earth and a worldwide independence from the increased costs of fossil fuels.
The scientists working on a new solar approach to capturing solar energy came up with a device that is still in the developmental stages for practical use but it’s hoped that it can be made useful for everything from heating water to electrical generation. The technology of this inflatable solar collector is based on a compact inflatable design based on the concept of zip-loc bags that hold together the transparent cylinder shaped pressurized polyester membranes. The cylinders are easily replaceable. The energy receivers are filled with water or oil and the basic concept is based on two opposing chambers that are pressurized in such a way to change shape in order to capture light for energy receivers.
Sungate Energy Solutions has proven designs available for installation now for all environments.

If we’ve learned anything since the seventies, it’s that the dependency on one form of energy can paralyze our country. The carbon footprints of fossil fuels create disasters that we’re all aware of like the Gulf Oil Spill and many other oils spills all over the world that have destroyed the environment around them. So, Sungate Energy Solutions decided that they were going to be a part of changing that.
Sungate Energy Solutions has been helping homes switch to solar for more than three decades. It’s past time to have global usage of renewable and alternative energy especially from the power of the sun. In 2010, world demand for energy increased by 5% with larger consumption by Russia, China and India plus many other developing countries. This will continue to increase.
Diversification of energy is important to the interest of the United States. Fortunately, alternative energy sources are continuing to be researched and invented. One of our national goals is to decrease our dependence on foreign oil and increase our numerous sources of clean energy from the sun, the oceans, the wind, geothermal from beneath the earth’s surface and now space based solar power.
What Sungate Energy Solutions is enthusiastic about regarding space based solar power is that it doesn’t involve the burning of fossil fuels, is more efficient than today’s solar energy, and uses the sunlight in space which is at least five times stronger in space than it is on the earth’s surface.
Another advantage of space based solar power is that with the use of satellites, it would follow the sun with very little down time. Right now the only thing that is holding back technical advances for this form of solar power as an alternative is the cost of research and development. At the rate of current available funding, space based solar power will not be available until the year 2040. Should more funding become available, research and development can carry on at a much faster rate.
Sungate Energy Solutions has an answer for today and it’s a great answer for those interested in changing their homes to reliable solar power. For more than thirty years, homeowners have been happy with replacing fossil fuel heat, air conditioning, and hot water heaters with reliable solar energy.

New energy generating solar plants are on the horizon. Sungate Energy Solutions knows the benefits of solar power regarding the environment as well as worldwide economics. Research is constantly being done to increase the future use of solar power.
A solar updraft tower combines the way a chimney works with updrafts, the way that greenhouse effects work and the way that wind turbines work to create energy. The structure is often over 2400 feet tall with sun driven energy as the basis for its mechanics. Air is heated by the sunlight and contained in a greenhouse at the base of the tall chimney. The result is convection that causes air to rise up the tower. This drives the turbines which produce the power to make electricity.
There are two factors determining how much energy can be produced by the solar chimneys. One is the collector area where the greenhouse heats the air. The second is the height of the chimney. Heat can be stored. Heated water can be filled in tubes to be used as needed and turbines can be used to move the heated air to help create the energy that is converted into electricity.
Sungate Energy Solutions is looking at this as an option for the future. Low value and hot climates like those found if the deserts would likely be the best suited location of these structures. Remote regions of developing countries could also benefit from this type of energy production.
There are some great solar options available for homes in the United States. And Sungate Energy Solutions’ has information regarding solar energy that is available to you today.

The Polluter Accountability Act will be on the ballot again thanks mostly to Joe Caves and will be labeled as Proposition 23. Sungate Energy Solutions would like to address this important law that will be put before the voters in this coming November’s election. The central idea behind this proposition is to hold polluters accountable for the damages that they do to California’s environment. In order to enable these actions against polluters, a simple majority of the legislature has to agree rather than two thirds as it had been enacted.
It’s hoped by all that care that Joe Caves is clever enough to fight the big oil and gas money so that he can send his message to the people – more importantly so that it’s received by the people. Californians tend to want to fight for clean air and water free from the rot and stink left by fossil fuels, but the fear mongering that takes place on the side of big money is huge and effective. Telling California citizens that polluters should be responsible for the damage that they continue to cause means a lot. However, telling people to be afraid – be very afraid that California’s economy will tank even more with increased joblessness and regulations causing businesses to have to leave the state is fear mongering that tends to work. Big business is good at that.
Sungate Energy Solutions knows that fossil fuels are killing us. Renewable energy is the answer. It offers jobs and an opportunity for California’s economy to grow. Californians need to know that they have alternatives that are less expensive in the long run than relying on fossil fuels. Solar energy, wind power, and geothermal energy will all work well in California. In fact, many large businesses and homes have begun to turn to it because it’s less expensive and more practical than relying on the continually increasing prices of oil and natural gas. The alternatives like solar power are practical, less expensive and clean.
Check out Sungate Energy Solutions. We have knowledgeable staff that would be happy to address your questions.

Sometimes nature provides new ideas for modern dilemmas. Sungate Energy Solutions has learned about how the sunflower has inspired the increase of solar energy produced by a Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plant. Two teams were involved in this particular research project. One team was from MIT and the other from Aachen University is Germany.
Sungate Energy Solutions is always interested in new solar research and they learned of a new project that was underway regarding a solar energy plant (CSP). A design was needed using the basic factors which were a large piece of land and a lot of sunlight. The project was named PS10 and was designed like other solar plants with mirrors surrounding a middle tower in a concentric circular pattern. The mirrors were staggered and the results of this configuration lead to unwanted shadows that blocked the light from the tower depending on what time it was. So, the goal of the two teams was then to figure out how to get more efficiency out of the mirrors.
Through some trial and error, they looked into history, mathematics, ancient architecture and nature to see if they could come up with a solution. They found that angling the mirrors like the florets of a sunflower was the solution. The two teams, along with the help from Rockwell International’s mechanical engineers, came up with the best way to reduce the space needed for CSP plants to be more efficient and produce more energy from the sunlight and mirrors. They succeeded in reducing the cost of the solar energy produced using the sunflower as their model and the angle of the florets as their answer. They found a way to decrease space and increase solar energy production.
Sungate Energy Solutions would like to share their knowledge of solar products and systems with you. Expert staff is available to speak with you regarding your solar energy needs.
